Get a look behind the scenes as we installed “Outside the Spacecraft: 50 Years of Extra-vehicular Activity,” a new exhibition on view at the Museum in Washington, DC January 8 through June 8, 2015. Members of the exhibition team share some of the unique objects, design considerations, and conservation challenges in displaying delicate artifacts that represent the personal spacecraft – the spacesuit – that astronauts need to perform EVAs outside the spacecraft.
