		<description><![CDATA[Birds had already evolved by the Cretaceous from an earlier common ancestor with the dromeosaurs, and the modern-type birds alone survived the extinction event. They didn&#039;t evolve after the fact from surviving &#039;raptors&#039;. Please do try to check this kind of thing, as misconceptions like these give creationists more ammo.
