Ancient ancestors come to life

See our ancient ancestors come to life through paleoartist John Gurche’s realistic human likenesses for the Smithsonian’s Hall of Human Origins. “The human story is really nothing short of the story of a little corner of the universe becoming aware of itself,” says Gurche.

Frontierman: Absolutely! I felt the same way when I saw it in person. ;-) It’s so great to see our history and see just how strong we can be as humans- with or without technology at our fingertips.

This looks like a fun job.

Joyce: ‘Fun job’ isn’t a strong enough description for this type of work. I see it as fun work! :-) IMO: It is work that is not very different from play because it is so rewarding to perform and results in benefit for mankind. As a whole, humans did not get where we are today without learning. I love to learn something every day! I applied 4 a job with the Smithsonian and hope I am chosen. Truth: When I saw the Hall of Human Origins I didn’t want to leave. :-)

Frontierman: Absolutely! Why I walked past someone today who looked just like him! ;-) It’s so great to see our history and see just how strong we can be.
